Boy, Corn & Dirt

This pretty much could describe any boy's life at the age of 1 and a half: Boy, corn, & dirt. Eat it!

My Punk Kid

My punk kid... is awesome! We love our little Dallin. And so do the grandmas! Here are a few more picts. I need to take more of these to fuel the previous generations' online addiction: Dallin, Dallin, all the time!

How I really feel

from Jake, 06 Aug 2010 2 comments

This makes a lot more sense, don't you think. I really don't like either fake butter spreads or butter (at least as a condiment), but I'd take the real thing every time if given the choice.

Now THAT's a sandwich!

Crocodile Dundee is to "a knife" as Dallin is to a sandwich.

Priesthood Meeting + Food

from Jake, 02 Oct 2009 0 comments

Brethren,

The morrow will bring a feast of the word. May it also bring a feast of food and festive chatter. You are hereby summoned to April and Jake's stake building to participate in the viewing of an epic General Priesthood Meeting broadcast, to be followed by the iciest cream and a good game of Spinergy. All in favor, reply to this email with an emoticon in the affirmative. Any opposed, your silence will be interpreted as such. In good manly fashion, this is being announced the night before. But, breaking with the male tradition, I provide details below:

Meet at our house at 5:40pm

The viewing shall commence at 6pm and continue for 2 hours in succession.

Following the singing by the choir and the benediction, we shall make for our starting location post-haste to commence ice cream consumption and spinning of the Spinergy mechanism.

---- end details

April, interjecting her angelic vocals into this otherwise masculine letter, is quick to remind the wives and other womenfolk that may not attend said broadcast but nonetheless similarly gravitate toward food and festivities and above all chatter are invited to join with her in waiting out the return of the gallant men who will, for 2 consecutive hours stare at a large projection screen and then quickly return home on the one of two singular days of the year where such a display will be considered gallant.

I eagerly await your reply.

Yours in manliness and priestly duties,
Jake

Self Feeding

from Jake, 30 Aug 2009 2 comments

I decided that if he was always so eager, he could feed himself. He had fun with it. He's not all that great at using a bottle in the first place. This just added to the play aspect of his already inefficient bottle time.

Rice Cereal Awesome

from April & Jake, 28 Jul 2009 4 comments

Today Dallin happily consumed his first rice cereal. I must stuff my face around him quite a bit because he knew exactly how to do it and took to his new edibles quite well. April had fun feeding him. I tried too, but was too impatient, so I just poured the cereal straight from the bowl into his mouth. April could only stand watching that so many times, and she soon resumed the helm in the process. This boy's cute. His bib was huge. His hands were a hindrance to the process, and he was really fun to watch.

Once picasa decides it doesn't want to wallow in its own version of the fail whale, I'll give you a nice collage for your desktop background.

Update

Here's the proof:

Very 'Lil Drummer Boy

from April & Jake, 08 Dec 2008 0 comments

The drums are beating ever closer. Can he hear the music or something? Stinka'! We've been jammin' on the road for the past 3 weeks. Well, as jammin' as you can get with sketchy radio reception in the shadow of the everlasting hills.
